From the recording Lane to the Glen
The Gráinne Mhaol was recorded by legendary Sligo fiddler James Morrison for the Columbia record label in August 1935. Malloy’s favourite comes from a rare private recording of fiddler Michael Coleman made in Chicago in 1940. It was also a great favourite of another outstanding Sligo fiddler, Joe O’Dowd.
